Jay Semko is known across Canada as singer and bassist with Western Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductees the Northern Pikes, internationally as an award winning music composer for numerous film and TV productions, including Canada's most successful internationally syndicated series, "Due South", and as one of Canada’s premiere singer/songwriters. "Love Will Set You Free" was the second solo recording that Jay released, 10 years after his first. The writing and recording of the song was documented in the film, "Love Will Set You Free", produced by Marshall Ward.
